How did you end up in this role?

My Co-Director Billy and I trained together at the same firm. After he left to set up then Clarity Law (Scotland) Ltd we kept in touch which then resulted in my joining him in August 2011. Despite the initial baptism of fire little could I have guessed that in September 2015 I would be setting up my own legal firm Simplicity Legal with Billy as my business partner, for that then leading to the merging of the two companies in November 2017 to give us Clarity Simplicity Ltd which brings us to today delivering excellent legal services together with our team.

What do you love most about your job?

Listening to someone’s problems and then helping them craft a solution is what I love and is what drove me to my career. Being a solicitor, with a particular emphasis on Family Law, allows me to fulfil this. In recent years I have learned to broaden my horizons to appreciate that I can help many more people by not just being the lawyer.

How do you do what you do?

I’ve been told I have high standards – to me they are just normal.

About Emma:

Emma is one of the two Directors of Clarity Simplicity. Emma can be described as the steadying hand to her Co-Director Billy. She has extensive experience across civil work and litigation with a particular emphasis on Family Law and has been recognised as one of the three best Family Law Solicitors in Glasgow for over six consecutive years.

Personal Information:

Travel is a passion – new people and new places fascinate me. Closer to home, hosting and socialising with family and friends is key to maintaining balance. Work to live, not live to work.
